Landscape tending
Kovar a.s. is situated in the heart of Moravian Wallachia and this prompted our company owners to preserve the original agricultural production. As a result, Kovar is raising a 70-head herd of cattle that tends large farmland through grazing. In 2001, Kovar applied for certification of ecological agriculture. In the meantime, we are in the second part of the two-year bridge period and are awaiting the award of the certificate. The landscape tending represents only about 1% of our annual turnover, but is considered very important nevertheless. Our great objective is to protect our environment not only by using the most advanced technology in production, but also by active participation in ecological agriculture.
In 2013, we have received certificate of organic agriculture.
